The wintry storm that has already claimed the lives of 10 in the West and in Texas is now threatening to dampen the holiday mood of Americans living in the east. With the storm now wending its way eastward, millions of Americans who have made travel plans around Thanksgiving are feeling jittery.
Already, around 300 American Airlines and American Eagle flights have been canceled owing to bad weather conditions at the Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport on Monday, and authorities predict that delays could be expected in some of the nation’s busiest airports including the ones in New York, Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia and Charlotte, NC.
Jeff Smidt who is traveling to Massachusetts to meet his family from Toronto remarked that his travel plans have been made ‘at the worst time ever’. Other air passengers echo his sentiment and say that they are preparing themselves to meet the worst during journeys around Thanksgiving.
